Two-Layer PE Coating
Description:
PRITEC® is a two-layer anti-corrosion coating designed to protect pipes used in the oil, gas, high-voltage underground electrical systems, water and wastewater industries. PRITEC’S® side extrusion application method is ideal for coating small and large diameter pipes ranging from 3/4” to 36” in diameter for carbon steel and 3” to 48” for ductile iron. This coating combines the proven protective qualities of a polyethylene outer coating with a specially formulated butyl rubber adhesive.
PRITEC® provides superior mechanical and corrosion protection. Its performance is proven by extensive testing, and in diverse service around the world. Through its utilization of two time-tested and proven materials, polyethylene, and butyl adhesive, PRITEC® protects pipe against corrosion with a firmly bonded, damage resistant coating.

Utilized in the water & wastewater systems, pipe type cable, gas transmission and distribution piping systems and industrial applications to provide corrosion protection on pipelines. Resists most biological, chemical and environmental contaminants found in soil. Offers superior adhesive properties that resist cathodic disbondment minimizing the cost of cathodic protection requirements.
